The Spurs beat the Mavs on their home court recently and they don't even have Caron Butler. Also, they ousted Dallas in last year's playoffs.
The dude said that the Spurs will not get past the second round and said that Denver would EASILY beat the Spurs...and he still says the Spurs are worse than the Mavs. I find this humorous!
He also said that Duncan and Manu have no game left. What? I know they've probably lost a couple of steps, but they can still dominate and have gained immeasurable wisdom.
Seriously, I don't care what he or anyone thinks of the Spurs, but isn't he looking biased and just plain ignorant by now?

Barkley is a contrarian. I don't think even he believes what he is saying.
I normally laugh when people worry about that blowhard, but his stupidity and tired act are actually indictments of our values insofar as sports entertainment. He has nothing decent to say about San Antonio, but when a team has 61 wins, that doesn't make sense. He doesn't even mention what a good job Popovich has done.
He is wrong about every thing he says. He was just saying Portland won't be playing Dallas in the first round?!!

Barkeley has been consistent in his assessment that the spurs aren't as good as "advertised"-he's been saying that all season long-he hasn't wavered from that point. And he's not the only one-most of the pundits out there aren't picking the spurs to do much despite their record. General consensus is that Lakers are the best team in the west, despite their recent swoon, followed by the new WC darlings OKC.
Yes, I liked the part when Kenny, EJ and Webber started laughing at him.... Barkley also said that the Lakers wouldn't repeat and the no one wants to play the Blazers, Grizz, Nuggets, Thunder and Hornets..

Charles barkley realizes he is hated in San Antonio for his remarks about the women in San Antonio, so he is deceiving himself by knocking the Spurs hoping he won't have to come to San Antonio for the WCF and/or the Finals.

Charles is just saying what many on here have said- the Spurs do not play the kind of defense they have played to win their other championships and they are too small against certain match-ups.
Chuck knows what he says gets him attention. Did any of you all ever even watch him when he played in the NBA? He delightfully ingnorant, and talks out his ass. Thats what makes him great.

Barkley is a funny guy and fun to listen too when he does the TNT show. His basketball analysis actually sucks, so I always take his opinions and predictions with a grain of salt. Chuck is strictly an entertainer.
Well you have to admit if Manu goes back to just chucking up 3 point shots the whole game at a low rate like he's been doing a lot recently we're probably not getting far. It's interesting that his best game recently came while not shooting one 3 pointer in the game. I wouldn't worry about what Barkley said. He's on there for entertainment purposes. I was getting sick of the commentating last night. It was Laker praise all night long with maybe one minute of stuff on the Spurs throughout the game.
