Expected to play in Game 1. Announced by Lakers via Twitter a few minutes ago.

#Lakers announce that Andrew Bynum has a bone bruise to his right knee; not serious. He is expected to be ready for Game 1 of the 1st round.

Deemed not serious means that he is still getting treatment. Being available to play doesn't mean that he's at 100%.

Who cares? Why are people so worried about L.A. being 100%? The Spurs have had to deal with injury issues over the last couple of years that have hurt them in the playoffs. This year injuries are seriously affecting the Mavs (Butler), the Grizzlies (Gay- beware of Kobe Slurs); New Orleans (West btw L.A. gets an easier series b/c of their injury situation) and Portland (too many to count). If anything, the Lakers are due, and I for one would not mourn any unfortunate luck after the Gasol steal they are due for some bad karma.

True but its really nothing like any of those past knee injuries which was the major fear. Pau Gasol had a bone bruise against Denver last Sunday didn't miss any time and seems like his normal self. So sigh of relief for Laker fans with his history. According to Bynum himself he feels fine.

Last year Bynum played the entire playoffs in postponing major surgery mode. There's always a fear with him but im grateful hes escaping this latest scare with a bone bruise.
