Nah, I think that award goes to that woman who had mental issues who drove herself and 4 kids into the river killing all, but her oldeset son. He escaped.

Who stole medication from her terminally ill son's IV drip so she could inject them into herself to help her sleep.
Pittsburgh police said Ms. Remsing, of Vancouver, Wash., disconnected her 15-year-old son's IV and injected herself with the sedative midazolam at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC Oct. 31. She then improperly reconnected the IV, creating an air bubble inside the IV tube that doctors said could have killed the boy, police said.
After the incident, Ms. Remsing told police she injected herself with the drug because she "had been up for 48 hours and was trying to sleep," the affidavit says. Ms. Remsing also told police she was depressed and a recovering drug addict.

Sure there are worse parents out there who do horrible things. This was not outright prolonged abuse, just really really bad judgement.--RG
