If the Shields that beat Hendo shows up we are in for a good one..

If the Shields that fought Kampman shows up GSP cruises..

I LOVE everything about this card. I might actually pony up the dough to watch this on my TV instead of a ty stream.

Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Jake Shields -- LOL @ Jake Shields. You're a D-League all star. You're a AAA all star. You're an IHL all star. You WERE a D-League MMA all star. Prepare to feel the wrath of a real champion. you Shields.
Featherweight Championship bout: José Aldo (c) vs. Mark Hominick -- I like Hominick, and I HATE Aldo's camp, but Aldo is the Anderson Silva of the weight class. Nobody is going to beat this guy. Ever.
Light Heavyweight bout: Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Jason Brilz -- I love Vladdy, but it's time to hang 'em up. After this ass kicking, he'll be done.
Light Heavyweight bout: Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida -- I love me some Dragon, and Hate me some Randy Couture. I am going to enjoy watching Lyoto beat the out of Father Time in the clinch.
Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson -- After that embarassing loss to Pet , Benson is going to come out guns blazing. I'm calling 1st round sub, guillitine. It will probably be over in 30 seconds.

    Other fights:

Welterweight bout: Nate Diaz vs. Rory MacDonald -- WAR DIAZ!
Bantamweight bout: Ivan Menjivar vs. Charlie Valencia -- I love me some Charlie.

Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Jake Shields
    - GSP will pull away in the Championship rounds, but don't discount the possibility of Shields taking an early round.
Featherweight Championship bout: José Aldo (c) vs. Mark Hominick
    - Hominick has the hometown crowd and is a tough kid, but Aldo is an animal. Could be epic, will definately be fast paced cuz both dude's bang.
Light Heavyweight bout: Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Jason Brilz
    - Interesting match-up, at least I think so. I expect a back and forth, but can't pick a winner.
Light Heavyweight bout: Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida
    - It's a must-win for Lyoto, but Randy's wanted this fight and after watching the Brock fight I feel like any size difference will be mute. Will be a technical battle, but a unanimous decision for Lyoto.
Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson
    - Expect a fast paced ground fight, both dude's have great ground games but Bocek has no other weapons for Benson. Ben wins by 2nd round sub.
PRELIM Welterweight bout: Nate Diaz vs. Rory MacDonald
    - Nate will beat Rory down in the 2nd via TKO.

Great card, I will probably buy this and 130.

    Main Card

Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St-Pierre (c) vs. Jake Shields

I see this fight like the Koscheck fight. GSP will use his amazing TDD to keep it up and light shields up on the feet. Shields has only one chance to win, by submission on the ground. GSP is all about % and strategy. He has trained his boxing and kickboxing like an animal for this one for sure. I'll say UD because he has not been finishing lately but either way i see him dominating..

Featherweight Championship bout: José Aldo (c) vs. Mark Hominick
Like Trout said, this guy is the Silva of his division. He is destined to take his place as yet another near unbeatable champion..

Light Heavyweight bout: Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Jason Brilz

Tough fight to pick. Both guys older and past their best but Brilz i think has a little more left and more to prove after the controversial Nog fight..

Light Heavyweight bout: Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida

Not always does a fight come along where you are supremely confident of the result but this is one of them. Machida's whole career is riding on this fight. This is a must win for him and then some. 3 or 4 years ago i would pick Randy to win this fight. Back then Randy was a touch sharper, a touch faster and could better take advanatage of openings but today he is slow by a step in all those areas. He is not the dominant force in the clinch he used to be.. Machida picks him apart with movement and counter striking en route to a UD win and likely retirement by Randy..

Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Ben Henderson

Bocek is scrappy. This could go either way..

I was at UFC 111 in Jersey for GSP/Hardy and i was in the 300 section and basically could not see . So 80% of that crowd at Rogers will be looking at the big screen.. You gotta have amazing seats at an MMA fight or it sucks..

this is why i hate mma in a cage. from a fighting standpoint its way better because there are no re sets, but in a ring, you can see everything from any seat in the house, way better for camera angles and photos too.

I went to UFC 64, UFC 103 and PRIDE 34 so i got a little taste of both worlds. Still the only major mma events ive been too, but the PRIDE show was a way better experience imo..

Yep...200 level tickets going for $400...not gonna happen. Probably gonna find a good bar to catch this in the area.
