Well, Bulls have a better record against the west than against the east...
The Bulls take #1 seed from us down the stretch and ESPN falls in love.
How much should that be discounted because of their schedule vs. our down the stretch and that they played in the East vs. the West?
Well, Bulls have a better record against the west than against the east...
For most of the season, I dismissed the Bulls. Even as they made their way up to the number one spot. I only saw them play a couple of games and never thought of them as a contender. But after seeing them play when they are fully healthy and firing on all cylanders, I think they are the best team in the East and possibly the second best in the league. Behind the Spurs.
I cannot discredit what they did overall during the season, they still had to play Miami, Boston, Orlando more who all pose tough matchups...I do not believe they will beat Miami or Boston in a series, but that is yet to be seen...Congrats to them on the regular season crown.
Bulls are going to be a tough out in olayoffs. It would not surprise me if they win the whole shooting match.
They're number one dude get over it. You're acting like you were going to get a cut of that 300 g's. Who cares? It only comes into play IF we face them in the playoffs
I didn't believe in the Bulls most of the season. Still a little skeptical. But they're proving all the doubters wrong so far. We'll see what happens in a playoff series against some of the better teams. I wouldn't discount their schedule though. They beat all the good teams. As for the Western Conference teams:
23-7 versus the West
11-5 versus Western Conference playoff teams
8-3 versus Miami, Boston, Orlando
Playing a lot more games against the East probably did help. But it's not like the Bulls only feasted on bad teams and didn't beat any good teams. They beat all the good teams too. Don't think scheduling was a huge factor at all. The Bulls just had a really great regular season. Let's see what they can do in the playoffs.
The Bulls have the over all number one seed because the Spurs the bed during the last twelve games.
4-8 down the stretch.![]()
The Bulls had what, 40 wins last year? It's a of an accomplishment to go from "Is Vinny getting fired at Christmas?" to 62 wins.
The Spurs have no reason to about it either, since they pretty much validated the media bias that the Spurs are a one trick pony and won't sustain throughout the season.
Bulls #1 cause of their D.
Bulls are #1 because of Derrick Rose.
Defense is good, but without DR, Bulls don't get near 62 wins.
Bulls are a good team, but they're not getting by the Heat.
Inexperience. They could make the finals but won't win it all.
Inexperience should not get them by the Heat or Celtics.
bulls cant get easy buckets
boozer is a perennial playoff choke artist
unless they play lights 03-04 Detroit pistons style defense all playoffs they're not winning the chip
rose isn't taking them all the way alone
lakers are praying they come out of the east
overrated team.
Boozer missed +20 games, Noah +30, otherwise they would have been better.
Bulls are for real.
They're playing pretty damn close to that level of defense and have been for a while.
Well whats thier record vs the West... 19-11?
Chicago had a great season, but come on...
They didn't have to play 4 times Dallas, Houston, NO and Memphis, 3 times Lakers or Portland...
instead of 2 times!!! it's a huge difference...
If you add the the "miraculous" 6 games losing streak (mainly close games with weird endings) out of nowhere in the spurs season...
Yeah imo they the new cavaliers.
