Bad link. for starters.
Maybe, Mr. Blair knows?
The ObserverDowning Street has admitted to The Observer that repeated claims by Tony Blair that '400,000 bodies had been found in Iraqi mass graves' is untrue, and only about 5,000 corpses have so far been uncovered.
The claims by Blair in November and December of last year, were given widespread credence, quoted by MPs and widely published, including in the introduction to a US government pamphlet on Iraq's mass graves.
Now we all know that many of those graves were filled with the bodies of gullible folks goaded into revolting by Bush Sr., who promised to "get their back" but instead allowed Saddam to use his helicopter gunships to mow them down...
Debunked Saddam mass grave scenario and not a peep about it from the American mass media.
Bad link. for starters.
How do you find the graves of people who were thrown into tree limb shredders?
dan, don't ever leave the forum....the entertainment you bring is priceless. you are the britney spears of political posters.
We never found the shredders either. 5000 is still a lot of people but its hardly the 400,000 the British were claiming or the 300,000 our own government was saying could be in mass graves scattered throughout Iraq. How do you find the graves of people who were thrown into tree limb shredders?
Does anyone have any info that contradicts this report?
Britney? Are you saying you want Dan to "hit you one more time?" :p
If The Observer prints it then it must be true.

Yeah...it's always easier to just shoot the messenger...
It can only be true if it's reported by The Weekly Standard.
Well in that paper's case and yours the bullets are justly deserved.
Would you quit threatening my life? It's getting really old.

Dan, I don't get why you constantly try to prove that no atrocities were commited by Saddam and Iraq. So what if only 5,000 bodies were found (I'm sure there is 1000's upon 1000's more).
But isn't 5,000, 5,000 too many to you?
I've already said that 5000 is still a lot of people. I was just curious why the U.S. press hasn't reported on this curious Blair statement?
I wonder what the basis of that estimation was...or if they just pulled it out of their ass.
Well, some of the pre-Iraq war intelligence seemed to be pulled from somebody's ass. :p
But, I agree that 5,000 is 5,000 too many for me.
Let us not forget the thousands that have died in Sudan.
danny if you truly believe what you write then you are indeed one dumb mother er.
That can be said of many posters....me included.
Well, aside for the fact that there were pictures of the plastics shredders, the rape rooms, and the torture chambers released a couple of years ago (no I didn't save them and no I'm not going to go find them again); and, aside from the fact that digging up dead people is not the priority during a war; and, aside from the fact that Saddam Hussein has already pretty much confessed -- saying it was within his rights, as the leader of Iraq, to do so (addressing both the gassing of Kurds and the mass murder of Shi'ites); yeah, aside for those things, Nbadanallah, you may have a point.
I suspect it's on top of your head.
Baghdad Bob lives!
Come on Dan.
A few weeks ago, you said Bush was an idiot for listening to British intel about Saddam's WoMD.
Now we're supposed to treat this new estimate as gospel? That's quite a slippery slope you're walking.
