I don't see Indiana ever letting this guy go. However with McDyess retiring and Duncan likely to log even fewer minutes next season, maybe the Spurs will sign another NBA veteran to help lead the younger guys.
His mom is the principal at Alamo Heights H.S., wouldn't shock me to see him sign with S.A. if the Spurs are interested.
Would be a great signing to replace Dyess.
Spurs need an infusion of serious front court talent. This won't cut it, but maybe Tiago is enough.
This guy is tough in the paint and has some size. I would take him.
if we going to throw in tiaggo as trade bait, we better be gettin alot more then just foster out of the pacers....
paul george looks untouchable, maybe granger? or one of there bigs?
tj ford plays for the pacers, does he want to come back to texas?
For the Vet min I wouldn't mind. The Spurs still need to get another great frontcourt player to compliment Tim and Tiago though.
IMO, Foster will re-sign with Indiana and retire with them.
That would make sense. If for some reason they wanted to go in a different direction I could definitely see him coming to SA though, seeing that he went to college 45 minutes from here.
Would be nice seeing as how we have a need for tough interior defense with height. Plus, he can rebound well.
A realistic option
Any word on what he plans to do?
Since he has spent his entire career with the Pacers suspect he retires ther....
there was a rumor on Pacersdigest that the Lakers are interested. but I guess that's pure speculation.
like with some other FAs (Battier) such a signing would happen 3 years to late.
if he comes here for the minimum, fine. but I'm pretty sure for that kind of money he will stay with his career team. (or he goes to LA, Dallas or Miami for the min and hopes to win a ring there)
don't think that the hometown thing is that much of a point for him, after playing his whole career somewhere else.
and let's be honest, he wouldn't help that much, likely wouldn't play more than 10 MPG.
