Should be coming in the mail today
Anybody picked it up yet? If so, thoughts?
I was late to the party and finally played the original a couple weeks ago (bought it offa' Steam for 10 bucks). I now know what all the hype was about, and'm pretty psyched about the sequel.
Should be coming in the mail today
Still undecided if Im going to get it for PS3 or PC....
If you buy the PS3 version you get the PC version free......................
I'm actually debating that, too. I've only played on PC and I'm wondering how hard it'd be to re-learn rapidly opening those portals in mid-air with a joystick. It seems like it's a lot easier with the mouse.

Aaaaaand sold.
cool!
Yeah, that was my main concern as well.
The developers themselves have said specifically, on several occasions, that the PS3 version is the most complete version available. Seems a pretty easy decision.
Haven't played Portal yet. Still.
Its not like you need to play part 1 to understand part 2
Some chick is trapped in a building and you solve puzzles to get out.
what? even Valve is putting consoles first now?
VALVE!?!?
the last hope, the last bastion of quality PC gaming has fallen to the dark side??

From what I've read, IF it is a console port, its been ported perfectly to the PC.
I'll find out soon enough, letting my brother play it on the PS3 while I download it from Steam.
Also, there is an easter-egg concerning J.J. Abrams new movie "Super 8"
Hidden away in the Extras section of the Portal 2 main menu, there’s a teaser for Super 8. It’s not a typical movie teaser, though, it’s a short level created entirely in the Source engine. It’s only a couple of minutes long. If you don’t have Portal 2 go here to check out the video: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/04/19/po...-teaser-level/
double post
Stephen merchant is funny in this game
I replayed P1 at least 20x.
...and yet I havent bought P2 yet.
Odd.
I got stuck early on in Portal and just went back to playing HL2 (Orange Box owner). Some incredibly far expanse I couldn't get across.
You have behooved yourself immensely, IMO. Portal was/is awesome. The Portal mechanic was revolutionary, I could only imagine the possibilities in an open-world setting (not that Portal 2 is, but just thinking out loud).
Picked up Portal 2 and Socom 4 yesterday
Portal never did anything for me. Not my bag
Portal is one of the most creative games I have ever seen; Valve is such an awesome developer.
Won't have time to play the sequel until after this semester is over, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. The first Portal is one of few games that I can think of that is incredibly innovative without sacrificing fun/playability.
Played a few level so far. The "Stephen Merchant" post in this thread didn't make any sense to me until now. Big fan of the Ricky Gervais Show, so, of course, I was very pleasantly surprised.
I do miss the old Portal voice, though.
