    Well I suppose they could try to reform some of the en lement programs and have the Democrats oppose that, for example.

    But go ahead and live in the fantasyland in which those are not real problems.

    Frankly I'd rather them engage in circle jerks about the pledge and flagburning and gay marriage and whatever instead of creating yet more fiscal black holes.

    Even if Democrats were for the most part in agreement w/ the majority on major issues like social security, there is no doubt in my mind that the republicans in congress would be bring stuff like this to the floor lass than two months before the election.

    Wait 'till Bush talks about the democrats trying to block the legislation one sentence removed from discussing the war on terrorism.
