Kinda bland, but probably the best coverage/do entary of what's happened there. It came out in 2007 I believe.


I post this b/c I heard about this town back in '04, and finally checked it out on 2 occasions (06 and 07)...very eerie, and quite sad.

There's been a underground fire burning in Centralia since 1962...there are still parts of the town where steam/smoke is coming up from the ground. If anything, take a look at old Highway 61

The Government ed these people over hardcore...that whole Anthracite region is dying though.


If you're anyway near there I'd advise passing through...very sad, unbelievable stuff.
