What will game 1 be, the Spurs being really rusty from just way too much time off, or the Pistons flat from there game 7. I know it is ridiculous to say how can anyone come out flat in the finals, well we have seen it before. Pistons are always at their best when they are up against it, they laid down pretty much in game 2 and game 5 then just turned it on for 6 and 7. We will see what pistons team shows up on thurs and how ready and hopefully not rusty the spurs are.

    Prediction, Spurs in 6

Check this out, Pistons and Spurs have a thing for game ones :P Both teams have only lost 1 game one in past 2 years.

    Playoffs 2005 (Game Ones)
    Phi @ Det, Det 106 to 85
    Ind @ Det, Det 96 to 81
    Det @ Mia, Det 90 to 81

    Playoffs 2004

    Mil @ Det, Det 108 to 82
    Njn @ Det, Det 78 to 56
Det @ Ind, Ind 78 to 74 (won game 2 at ind though)
    Det @ Lal, Det 87 to 75

    Playoffs 2005
Den @ Sas, Den 93 to 87 (spurs go 4-0 after that)
Sea @ Sas, Sas 103 to 81 (winning all home games and losing 2 away)
    Sas @ Pho, Sas 121 to 114

    Playoffs 2004
Mem @ Sas, Sas 98 to 74 (sweep)
    Lal @ Sas, Sas 88 to 78

    2003 Playoffs (Still game ones)
Pistons go 1-2 and so do the spurs, spurs win game 1 of finals though but pistons make up for that in the win in game 1 against lal.

    Interesting :P

I think we'll be rusty. Most teams come off a long layoff and aren't very sharp or in 'game condition". Can our team shake off the rust and injuries and beat a team that may be a little tired but will be pumped up to take away the Home court? Stay tuned.

Pistons can't win 2 games in a row on the road against very good home teams. San Antonio will win game 1.

I'd be more inclined to say that the Spurs are going to look a little rusty. I think the fatigue of going seven games with the Heat might become a factor as the series wears on but I don't think it's going to be a factor for the Pistons in game 1.

Mavericks fan Don't say can't. They are the world champs and if anyone can win 2 on the road it would be them. Although i expect them to split in San Antonio and take 2 of 3 in Detroit.

Detroit doesn't have the athleticism to stop the spurs fast break game. It is like Miami with defense.
