Actually, they looked better in the pre-seaon. But then again, this is a very tough Memphis team. I don't care that they're seeded at 8. They're much better than an 8 seed. I'm happy to see our team tested in the first round. Should give them the much needed toughness to win it all.... Hopefully

Memphis is the Spurs toughest matchup in the West, next to the Lakers..this has been evident for a while..
MEM guarded the 3pt and SAS has no offense inside atm
Spurs have absolutely no interior D. Duncan is their only legit big man and he is about 3 years past his prime. It is basically a bunch of guards and forwards trying to matchup against legit centers and power forwards. Not gonna happen.

This is exactly right. TP, the former Finals MVP, is playing like a 3rd stringer out there. Not pushing the basketball or penetrating at all. He is total garbage this series right now. He is either playing hurt, or is worried about getting hurt. He needs to grow a pair and start playing already.
It's not just the fact the Spurs are built for the reg season in style of play.
Memphis skill set is built for the playoffs. I said months ago they were the worse possible matchup for any of the top 4 but especially SA. Too large inside for SA, too many good perimeter defenders, and a PG who can come close to hanging with Parker.
LA was going to exploit SA the most, but the 2nd team capable in the West is Memphis and they are showing that now.
We have no point guard at all. That ing scrub Mike Conley is schooling our points. it's ing embarrassing that Memphis tanked to play the Spurs yet guys like Parker and Hill are just laying down for them.

doesnt help when u got RJ in there doing all also against his defender on his last legs...
Many here still believe the Spurs are a championship team with their weak front line. Some of us have been saying all year the front line defense will do them in and the regular season record was fools gold.
