I don't think he was supposed to pass. Not enough time and I didn't even look like an option IMO.
Rewatching the three, I think he was supposed to pass it back to Manu for the shot. But instead he took in on two players and with ice in his veins, drained it.

You may be right, but Manu was calling for it like he expected it a pass back. But it could have just been Allen sliding off him that made him do that.

Agreed. When there was the Spurs feed for Game 2, everyone was all over Twitter whinging about Elliott. Then you have this guy calling a remarkable shot like it's the first shot of summer camp and not a word from anyone. damn hypocrisy.
