Lakers benefited greatly from weak compe ion throughout the NBA, that was the primary reason for their 2 les IMO..

The rest of the field is getting better, they're getting worse..Kobe is no longer a top 5 player, they have no cap space to make any moves, their role players are terrible..if Gasol gets his head back in the game, they will be good enough to peak at the WCF, but otherwise, they aren't winning any more les..
