I'm pissed my Epic didn't get it.

In case you missed it, the Netflix app is now available and working for selected android devices. More will follow soon hopefully. I just downloaded it yesterday and it works great.![]()
I'm pissed my Epic didn't get it.
Got it! Finally, having an Evo works to my advantage.
Netflix and TV out. I kinda wish I went with the Evo over the Epic now.
Evo can do HDMI out to a TV. Epic cannot use the 3.5mm jack to output to a TV.
the hdmi slot on teh bottom of your phone
my phone was not on the list but that didnt stop me from getting it, lol
Oh my ing god. I've been waiting for this for a whole ing year. I'm ing glad it's finally on the android. ing working fine right now. .
Ah. Gotcha.
Huh. I don't have any idea what I'd use it for. I don't record vids and can stream onto my TV from my PS3 anyways. Hmmmm...
If you have an epic you just have to change your build.prop to say nexus s instead of epic. I currently have Netflix on my nook color. Go to the xDA forums to find out more.
Anyone know if the Galaxy Tab has it yet? I have an interested party who would like to know.
It doesn't look like any of the android tabs officially have it yet.
In response to you and to anyone else with an android device who would like netflix, but doesn't want to go through the process of making the changes I highlighted above; just click on this Link and download the device check disabled version of the netflix apk. Install it using your favorite file manager (mine is Astro, available for free in the market). Now enjoy. Just for s and giggles I decided to try it on my Hero... it works, but slowly and then randomly stops playing the movie. This is fine since I didn't anticipate it would work very well (if at all) on the Hero. Additionally, I am not going to watch anything on my 3.5 in screen. As I have said though, this works great on the Nook Color. I don't even need overclocking.
my droid eris which is basically a verizon hero is too old to handle the tech. i dont use my phones for movies anyways.
No, I wouldn't actually use MY phone for netflix, (especially with that NC in my backpack). However, yesterday when we were driving back from the coast, we listened to some standup comedians off of netflix on my wife's evo.
I was surprised how well it worked over 3g.
Netflix works great over 3g. Been watching season 1 of arrested development here and there and the picture quality is awesome. Still haven't been able to hook this up to my lcd tv VIA hdmi cable. The only thing you can use that for is YouTube and slide shows I believe.
I've used Netflix (and Hulu Plus for that matter) on my iPhone at work when I've had long lunches and neither one lags or buffers over a 3G network. And the quality is amazing. Really takes advantage of the Retina screen.
Sometimes at night I watch Netflix on my phone because I don't want my TV waking up my kids. My son is weird. Some nights shaking him and calling his name won't wake him. Other nights just the sound the 360 makes when it's booting up is enough to wake him, even with my door and his closed.
it says it cant be found in the market!!! wtf!!!
Lol means you don't have a qualifying phone
Click on the link that I posted above to download the .apk and install it on your phone that way.
I have another friend that has the HTC Inspire. I wondering if you could pretend that's it's an Evo considering it's basically a GSM port of that phone.
If he goes to the link that I posted he can download the app that has the "device check" portion of it disabled, so it doesn't matter what phone he has.
thanks drachen! Got it on my evo shift thanks to your link!!!
