Pretty much like every year: some acts I'd really like to see, but ultimately not worth the trouble.
Didn't see a topic for this,
anyone going? The lineup was announced early this morning.

I bought 2 three day early bird passes for $185, and will probably end up selling them.
Kanye West? Really? Saw the Foo Fighters were headlining Lollapaloza so I was hoping maybe they would maybe come here too.

About 5 of those bands I would want to see....Arcade Fire coming back to Austin...
My friend got me tickets. I don't really care who was playing, I just thought it would be awesome to go. And I'm not going to claim to be a Stevie Wonder fan, but I respect the out of him as a musician, so you bet your ass I'm going to be there to see him.
Cold War Kids freaked me out when I watched their streaming show from Coac a. Just sayin'.
Yeah, where's Led Zeppelin?![]()
Pretty huge drop off after the headlining acts . . .
Only day I'd be interested in would be Saturday. For Stevie, of course, but I see Chromeo is playing too. Funkiest Arab-Jew pairing I know.
I'm surprised the Jason Bonham Experience isn't riding this ABC NBA theme all the way to ACL.
Last year's ACL line-up was just awesome... this years is pretty ty tbh... but at least Arcade Fire is there..
?????
TVOTR, Nas/Damian Marley, Broken Social Scene, DFA1979, Iron & Wine, The Walkmen, & Aloe Blacc are all great. Some other decent ones too.
Every time I see Fitz and the Tantrums I can't help wanting to like them because their name is so awesome, but then I hear one of their songs and remember they suck.
Such a shame.
TVOTR, AF, Aloe Blacc, Gary Clark Jr. Iron & Wine, and Cut Copy are all worthwhile...that's for sure. If Kanye stays away from 808 and plays the rest of his discography, you could have an epic performance from him.
I kind of meant below the top third. Which might not be all bad . . . you can show up late and not be outside all day.
It's a bit of a weak line-up in general, but there is enough there (depending on scheduling) to make worth the $$$.
I don't know if bands like Futurebirds and The Cave Singers would be enough for me to get to the park early and stay all day.

North Mississippi All-Stars, the goods.
Is that Jevan Snead's new gig since football didn't work out?
As opposed to Matt Jones moving back in the ole single wide and beating/ ing his sisters?
u mad bro?
crofl Matt Jones is doing just fine with his first round money. u just jelly that arkansas boys get drafted and ole piss hacks don't.
Cocaine's pretty expensive.
it's not that bad when you sign a multimillion dollar contract after being drafted in the first round. key word being drafted.
Rememba when I gave you a go kart ride back from the tree of woe concerning his projected stats this season? I at least wanted it to be fun, but he the bed way too soon.
lol thinking it was only Del-Rio's doghouse holding him back
Austin reminds me of SNL a bit. There are some real gems but there are also a load of "wtf" gigs that you have to weed through to find the good stuff.
