It sounded like your fans weren't cheering at all during the intros and pregame, that's not a good way to rev up the home team! What's going on, Spurs fans? Are you guys always this quiet?

It depends on where the announcers' mikes are. Sometimes it sounds like thunderous applause, sometimes you hear next to nothing. Means nothing, baby!
If you were actually there in the SBC Center, you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think. Don't rely on what you hear. It's ultra-loud, brother!

I think it's because the fans didn't like Will Smith's performance.

Notice when he was saying "Can't hear you, say it louder!" no one said anything lol.

They didn't have the audio synched, the canned stuff was piped in louder than the crowd on tv, so it sounded weak.

Wait till the game comes to the Palace. Then you will hear what loud fans are like! The Palace rocks, and if you are there, your ears literally hurt after the game. Loudest place I've ever been to! It rocks!

I was in the house, and I can assure you that it was not quiet during the intros or during the key points of the game. If it didn't sound like the crowd was loud, it was only because it wasn't miked well. The roof nearly came off when Devin Brown was introduced, and I couldn't talk to the person next to me when Tim, Bruce, and Manu were introduced. It was as loud as I've ever heard the SBC Center -- on the magnitude of the noise level during the 4th Quarter of Game 6 of the 2003 Finals.

The sound is filtered if you didnt know.... You can tell, right at the end of the P.A's anouncements of the lineups, they switched mics...just like they would cameras...from his mic to a more general mic, and you could really hear the crowd, then they switch back to Al Michaels and Hubie Browns mic which are filtered out so that we could here them better than we could hear the crowd.

Like someone said, the Spurs don't mic the rims or place mics toward the crowd -- so on TV, it seems quieter than other arenas.

But ask the Spurs opponents if it's loud, they all say it's one of the loudest arenas in the league in the postseason.
