    I also quite like him as a cheap option to be the backup or the 3rd string PG.

    Not a terrible backup no, but I'd rather him be a reliable and solid 3rd stringer.

    Spurs' choice for the backup PG slot will depend on how they evaluate their current roster:
    - If Spurs estimate that Cory Joseph and/or the Neal/Ginobili combo could work, they will go after a low profile player who will be an insurance.
    - If Spurs estimate that they have nothing relevant at backup PG, they will go through FA or trade after a legit backup PG.

    Ronnie Price clearly fall in the first category. If Spurs don't like what they currently have at backup PG, they will go after a better player.
