That was against Miami.
That didn't carry over to the playoffs.
you Matt Bonner, white boy!
That was against Miami.
The "Bonner's shot is like snow" thread speaks the truth!
Beginning of the end, tbh. That was the high-water mark of the Spurs peak for the season.
After "Game Over", Spurs went on to lose solidly to the Lakers, and soon thereafter had the favor returned by Miami. Things just unraveled from there.
With white boy on this team, we ain't winning .
, without white boy we're probably ed... but with white boy, there is no question that this team ain't going anywhere.
Still with this? Let it go already..
That was the last time our team looked like contenders.
Then the Lakers came into town and raped us. Pop messed with the starting lineup. Timmy got hurt. The 6 game losing streak began. Manu started getting hurt. First round exit. It all happened so fast.![]()
By all means, make him the franchise player!
Wasn't that against OKC were he went 7 of 7 ?
I know man, I was at Atlantic City that night and bragged about SPURS! THEY WERE SERIOUS THEN! I knew then they were serious! THEN BOOM, POOF GONE!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY TOO FAST.

you know I think the league got upset about it because we lied about tony
Yup he gave us a chance to win. What was it? A four point lead with about a minute and a half? That is all you can ask for from a role player. Neal did us the favor in Game 5.
Yes, white boys will be the end of it.
He did just about as much or little as everyone else. Why aren't you blaming Tony, Tim and the other guys for that matter ? Tim was decrepit and Tony underachieved. Manu was injured and was still our best player.
Nah, I'm through blaming Bonner for all our problems. He was the least of them. He led the league in 3 point shooting and did fine during the playoffs.
2011 Spurs = 2005 Suns
Lot of offense, 60+ wins season, and lack of D in the playoffs
rememba det time every non-spur fan said that?
That was nothing more than a fluke game. Anyone who saw anything else in that type of win was a fool.
White boy got his ass raped on defense each second he was on the floor.
What was our record with Blair in the starting lineup vs. when Pop decided to put McDyess in the starting lineup?
THAT, plus the factPop didn't play Splitter enough, when healthy, to get him ready for the playoffs. Damn, they knew we were going to need Splitter in the playoffs vs. the Lakers. Should have figured we'd need him vs. either Memphis or Portland.
Unless a couple of (young) FA superstarsw/o egos want to come to S.A.,
I'm getting used to the idea that Holt will sell out while the gettin's good. I fully expect the Spurs to be gone in less than 5 yrs.
Well, it was a nice run while it lasted. Too bad we didn't have an ownership group with deeper pockets -- the Robinson-Duncan era could have easily had 3+ more
Hmmm....the Las Vegas Spurs has a decent ring to it, don'tcha think?
why does the damnSpursNation on mysanantonio.com keep reminding us by keeping the scores up there?

That's just it...the whole team got punked. Shane Battier punked Manu, Conley punked Parker. The Spurs got outplayed.
Our rebounding was fine and the defense was ok too for the most part. They held us to 9 fewer points per game than our regular season average while we held them to a basket less.
The difference was their defense was better than ours. The ball was flying all over the place and we turned the ball over with dumb mistakes.
Bonner has lots of issues of his own, but he was not the reason we lost to Memphis. RJ just plain sucked most of the year so his disappearing act wasn't anything new. I was most disappointed by Tony and Tim. I expected them to raise their level of play but they were awful. Manu had terrible turnovers but missed game 1. He gets a pass with me. As bad as we were, he managed to be the leading scorer for the Spurs.
Yeah I remember how happy I was about the Spurs and how sure I was this was thier year![]()
