My auto transmission went out and I need the name of a good repair shop. I've heard years of nightmarish stories of transmission repairs.

Cottman did my transmission awhile back (3 or 4 years ago) and it's still running perfectly. Only experience I have with it.

Only experience with transmission repair is with "cox transmission" 1,500$. Transmission ran great for a year. Broke down and I took it back they said they would fix it for 700$ I was upset and they said it was a fair price. I never went back and tossed the car.

This was like 7 yrs ago however.

If it's a car that you plan on keeping then go to a jasper transmission certified shop and do a swap..your old core for a rebuilt jasper trans. They do good work...

Its actually my son's 2000 Izusu Rodeo. I did hear about Jasper exchange trannys. Yes I'm in SA as thread le states. I found a shop this morning.

Kind of unusual the trans went out as Isuzu's are usually noted for their tough engines and drivetrains.

Be it a used trans, a jasper or rebuilding the exisiting one, it ain't gonna be cheap.
