Playing the part of the 2007 Golden State Warriors, we have the 2011 Memphis Grizzlies. The 2007 Utah Jazz are represented by the 2011 Oklahoma City Thunder. And then you have the 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers played by the 2011 Miami cHeat.
Mavs of course lost as the #1 seed to the Warriors. Warriors lost in the 2nd round to the #4 seed Jazz. The #3 seed Spurs knocked off the #2 seed in the 2nd round and dispatched the Jazz in 5 games in the WCF before sweeping Le in the Finals.
This year, the Spurs lost as the #1 seed to Memphis. Grizzlies then lost in the 2nd round to the #4 seed Thunder. Mavs, like the Spurs in 2007, were the #3 seed and eliminated the #2 seed in the 2nd round. Mavs then beat OKC in 5 and also face Le in the Finals.

They also wouldn't have won back to back championships

If the Mavs win, I have no problem with the le of the thread. Didn't read the rest. If the Mavs don't win, they aren't any better than the 2006 Mavs.
The 2007 Cavs were awful outside of LeBron and only got to the Finals because he went ballistic and into God mode for a few games against the Pistons and single-handedly took that team to the Finals to get curbstomped by a superior team. The 2011 Heat are not comparable at all, they're the exact opposite. A one man team surrounded by complimentary pieces versus a three man rotation of dominance surrounded by hot trash (not that it matters). , just Wade and LeBron together are better than the entire 2007 Cavs team.
Mavericks will not be sweeping the Heat. I am pulling for them but I honestly see the Heat winning in 6.
Every gleam of hope that the Heat don't win it this year.
The 2011 Heat are aweful outside of Lebron. Without him, they are 1st rounders if that.
2011 Mavericks = 1995 Rockets (if they win the Finals.)

Awhile back, when arguing with DPG, I compared the Mavs offense to that team as well.
No true second scoring option, but a dominant offensive force surrounded by great 3 point shooters.
Forgot another thing...the 2007 Spurs were eliminated by the Mavs the previous season. The 2011 Mavs were eliminated by the Spurs last year.
