Probably just told him to not force a shot when there is plenty of time left on the shot clock.
What was the deal with Horry and Brown. I only caught the part where it looked as if Horry was going off on DBrown. Anyone know what happened there?
Probably just told him to not force a shot when there is plenty of time left on the shot clock.
I think it was because Brown came down with the ball and early in the shot clock drove the lane and put up a shot with three Pistons in the paint and no Spurs there.
I think he was upset because he didn't play smart and instead of knocking down the j, he took it into a clogged lane turned and made a careless pass leading to a fast break. I think that's the play that caused Robert to get into Devin.
I just read picnroll's post and you may be right...I forget the exact timing there in the 1st half.
Horry was pissed b/c I believe it was during the play where Brown drove the lane, jump up as to shoot, spun around & try to pass off with like 3 Det Defers & had the pass stolen by Billups which lead to an open layup where Billups made the fake behind the back pass & layed it up & made Horry look silly.
nah... Brown was forcing stuff but that let me dribble the ball and not pass it to anybody then shoot a tough one-handed pull jumper in the middle of three Detroit players had to piss him off a lot
it really made me nervous seeing Brown in there. He was rusty as
More Big Dog less Devin please.
What he said. Although I do have to say he played some good d on billups.
dont hate on devin son... i want him back getting some minutes... when he was making those shots a few years back u guys wherent complaining... i mean sure hes rusty but lets give him a few mins... and rasho... i miss u
It was the whole Will Smith v. Usher debate again.![]()
It was a bad play by Devin, but the guy has played like 10 mins in the last 2 months, and is still shaky, he tried to do to much, trying to score when he should have been looking for an open guy, and Horry gave him some good advise I'm sure, I wasn't at the game but on the TV it didn't look all that bad, it looked like an older brother giving his kid brother some fatherly advise, "next time just pass the ball to the pt. guard, ok."
Robert is normally so sanguine, his getting on Devin so strong was pretty dramatic. Robert was really pissed. I felt bad for Devin that they replayed Robert getting on him.
the ing "if it bleeds, it leads" show biz mentality.
a good veteran move by Rob.
Anyways, Devin looked 100X better on the court. He's not running with a limp that he had in the Seattle series.
Horry just givin some tough love to Devin.
A guy like Horry can get away with chastising a youngster. He's been there before and has the rings to prove it. Devis should take it to heart and learn from it.
