only logical explanation..geezer teams do have it spurts..just look at the celtics last year
Terry and Dirk played like it was 2006 all over again. They got back their speed and pure shooting. This team looked quicker this year than the last 3 years in the playoffs. Amazing how they turned back time. Marion looked really quick to. Anyways, I guess you can't count someone out just because they are a little old. They could turn back the clock if they are totally focused. 2006 Mavs with Tyson Chandler bonus it felt like. Thanks again Mavs for making this a special season ending with.

Dallas was lucky and good this year. We got Chandler for his expiring contract after it became clear the Dust Chip wasn't going to land us one of the premier FAs. In the meantime, the Spurs and Celtics got too old, the Lakers imploded, the Magic tinkered with their roster and regressed, and the Heat, Bulls and Thunder were not ready. That left us.
Sorry, NBA fans, that was me. I may be soulless now, but I enjoyed watching LeBron self-destruct.

Yes this is a spurs forum but there are many fans of other teams as well here. But the admin can move this to the nba forum as that was my intent originally. I clicked off from the Chandler thread and wasn't in the nba forum. In the meantime, stop being the thread police.

The 2 biggest things that worked in the Mavs favor was the fact they got to rest for a few days between regular season and playoffs and between every series. That was huge for Kidd.
The other thing was that Cuban kept his mouth shut the entire time. No issues with the refs etc.
