No surprise. It's still gonna be impossible for this team to rebuild with Childress, Warrick and Frye clogging up the payroll.
The Phoenix Suns are working on a buyout with Vince Carter, per the Arizona Republic's Paul Coro.
Carter averaged 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this past season.
Carter signed a four-year, $61.8 million deal in 2007. He's entering the final year of the contract, which will pay him $18.9 million next season.

Come on VC put your Mavericks jersey on then its time to get it on (you gotta come to Dallas!.....)
I thought it was a team option anyway. Do they have to buy him out?
Why not just not pick up the option?
must be a players option and he excersised it
a team option they would decline it

Hoopshype has it as a team option. Shamsports has it as non-guaranteed. Whatever it is, any information there is about it doesn't give any indication that it is a player option. The Star-Ledger reported on its Web site Sunday that the deal guarantees Carter $61.8 million over four seasons, with the team holding an option for a fifth year.
Carter's a bag so Miami makes the most sense.
Heat makes little sense. I think he could thrive in D'antoni's system ... especially as a bench scorer ...tough for him to get shots starting in that lineup.
If TT could get him to go to the Bulls AND play defense he should win COTY again ...
Vince joins the heat and excells, Harlem would have to come back to this forum and all over the place.
Lebron's is about the only one he prefers to VC's ... or at least used to ...
I say we buy Luke out and give Wince spot minutes behind Kobe....
Bulls should go after Jason Richardson before Vince Carter. Not only is J-Rich younger, but he's a spot up shooter who doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective.
I don't disagree, but to get VC to go there AND play defense would be pretty amazing. My guess he wont want the pressure or the defensive responsibility. for all the flack, Lebron gets, VC has shown far less heart than James.
Desperate
ty defense backing-up ty defense.![]()
Miami doesn't need anymore soft, past their prime losers. He should go to NY or Chicago, seeing as how neither of them will be winning a le next year.
I have a feeling he'll go to Miami. He loves being a frontrunner.
Since Vince is soft and an underachiever he should fit in Miami perfectly.
This
Front running bag o' . He can get his rang on.
