I'll get my list together but lack of a stud WR & Bledsoe's concrete cleats are my biggest concerns. I think the D is a possible top 5 D again.
And 5 reasons you are pessimistic about the team this nfl season.
For me....
Dallas Cowboys:
optomistic
1) Defense got a of a lot better with Ware and Spears etc.!
2) True rising star in Julius Jones!
3) QB,From Vinny to Bledsoe
4) Tuna's 3rd year!
5) True rising star in Jason Witten!
pessimistic
1) Another new QB!
2) Can the rookies fill their roles?
3) No real star at WR,can Glenn stay healthy?
4) 3-4 D,what will happen to Glover?
5) changing QBs every other year! Hopefully Bledsoe or Henson will step up and do something!
So what are your thoughts?
I'll get my list together but lack of a stud WR & Bledsoe's concrete cleats are my biggest concerns. I think the D is a possible top 5 D again.
1. New upgrades might be disappointing becasue Pat Williams, Sam Cowart, and Darren Sharper are all past their prime IMO
2. With no Randy Moss, the offense could struggle
3. Linehan gone to Miami
4. Michael Bennett can never seem to stay healthy,O.Smith suspended(he could have helped at this position)
(5.) They're the Vikings*
Have a nice day.![]()
1. They're still great defensive minds that know the game (we're not expecting too much from them)
2. Even without Randy Moss, our offense is still great. We got Twilliamson in the draft, and signed Travis Taylor from the Ravens (10th pick in 2005)
3. ?
4. Michael Bennett is healthy right now and looks to be doing good.
5. Yes they are, and they're better than the cowboys!
lol,Linehan was your offensive coordinator.
Can't really argue with you because the Vikings had an awesome offseason!
They didn't necessarily get the better end of the trade with Oakland, but they still signed some impressive players on the D-line. Good players, but just not in there prime anymore.
And besides that, they spanked the Cowboys last year so,you have a "little" room to talk lol.Bas s!
I don't hate the Vikings, I was hoping they won the SB when they had Randall Cunningham at QB in '98 lol.
But they always find a way to lose,I can't understand why!
That's why I said "there the Vikings"
It's a little to early to start talking smack anyway, but no matter how much talent you guys have, you will find a way to lose, you know it,I know it.
Most Super Bowl victories:
Dallas Cowboys 5*
Most Super Bowl losses:
Minnesota Vikings 4*
Vikings better than the Cowboys? Funny stuff there....
if you ever want to see some Lombardi trophy's.....take a trip to Dallas.![]()
That was the past. We're in the present now. And the Vikings look better than the Cowboys right now.
I don't hate the cowboys, but I just feel like talkin a little smack since there is no football season for a couple of months.![]()

I feel ya,I can't wait for football season to start either lol.
Good talking ball with you man!
I'll look you up when the season starts.
Good luck to your team.
Gotta go start the Bar BQ and drink some beer now. TTYL.
never any reason for Optimism ever...
5 Reasons to be Pessimistic
1.J
2.E
3.T
4.S
5.JETS!............. New York Jets never give you a reason to be optimistic about anything
They can go to the AFC Playoffs one year and be within a field goal of the Super Bowl or they can start a year 1-4 and chase from there out and go nowhere.
Five Reasons I'm optimisitc about the NFL this year.
1. Dallas will be better than last year.
2. see above
3. see above
4. see above
5. see above
6. Vikings will be better than last year.
7. see above

Detroit Lions
1. Possibly the best WR crew in the league if they all stay healthy
2. Kevin Jones
3. Defense got helped out (RW McQuarters, Boss is back, everyone else is a year older)
4. Addition of Pollard at TE
5. Better O-Line
1. Joey Harrington?????
2. Secondary
3. WR Health Issues
4. Mooch (Can he coach the team right)
5. Eddie Drummond (Is he going to regain last years Pro Bowl form)
Denver Broncos
Optimistic
1) Running game is always there
2) One of the best LB cores in league.
3) O'line is always solid
4) Ashley Lelie is on the verge of becoming a Pro Bowler
5) They play the Cowboys. So we have at least 1 win assured.
1) Jake Plummer
2) Rod Smith is getting old
3) Can we get pressure from the D'line
4) TOUGH schedule
5) AFC west is a lot tougher this year.
lol,you gotta have faith bud.I love Curtis Martin, hopefully he will have a good year.
No worries bigger than defense: Starting 3 rookies in a system no cowboy has played in with undersized linebackers and a hole at strong safety!!!
As a fellow Bronco fan, I have to chime in on some stuff.
(1) Ashley Lelie has the same chance of making the Pro Bowl this season that 53 year old fourth wideout Jerry Rice does.
(2) Maurice Clarett will be better than expected, thanks to the system. He already has to be better than Ron ing Dayne. Why'd we sign him, anyway?
(2a) Ron Dayne will officially be known as Ron ing Dayne in Denver by the end of the season.
(3) Plummer might suck, but we are WAY screwed if he goes down. Danny Kanell sucks, and out of the three kids at QB, only Van Pelt has a chance of not being Craig Whelihan.
(4) A BJ Johnson #12 jersey would look pretty cool next to my old #62 Dan Neil.
(5) Bronco's LB core aren't one of the best, it is the best. Better than PIT and BAL. Ian Gold, DJ Johnson, and Al Wilson.
7-9, 3rd behind San Diego and Kansas City.
My rebuttal
1) Lelie averaged near 17 yards per catch. The history of the league shows that receivers usually hit theie stride around the 3rd or 4th season. Mybe I'm a homer, but I see him breaking through in a big way this year.
2) I agree about Clarett, but I don't see him beating out Bell. I think Bell is going to have a pretty damd good season. Ron ing Dayne....YOU JUST MADE MY DAY.![]()

3) Totally agree.
4) I'm going to miss Dan Neil.
5) I have to see how DJ handles the switch of positions. I can see them being the best.
7-9????????????? 12-4...Super Bowl champs baby!!![]()
