That's pretty ambitious, and looks like a lot of fun. GTA screwed up trying to make things too realistic; I'm glad to see Saints Row going in the other direction.

That looks like a blast. I've never played any of the SR games.

I did always like the Buggy Saints Row vid, though...even w/o knowing too much about the franchise.

Got SR2 and GTA around the same time. Played the out of SR and couldn't stand more than about 45 minutes of GTA. I'm with those expressing some concern watching that trailer. If it's just them showing off the most ridiculous they put into this one that's one thing, if that's indicative of the overall direction then there's such a thing as too far over the top.

Mindless killing/beatings get old after the first few times doing it. Hopefully the plot will make up for it.

its gonna need some variety in the missions but i love the addition of coop in saints 2. i gotta say i though most of what the vid showed was possible but developers didnt squeeze it in to past games but the aistrike caught me off guard. that is gonna be my go to attack

There's no dispute that's going to be better than GTA IV... any sandbox game I remember is better than GTA IV... That's not really the bar to compare, IMO.

If you want to compare against Rockstar, I would argue RDR is probably the top.

I played the story through twice, and still play it all the time trying to get to 100%. One of the games I've had the most replay value from, easily. Plus now you can pick it up for $20 at most stores.

I've put in 100 + hours in the game and I'm at 97% or so. I just gave up trying to 100% it. I don't hate myself that much.

so far so great. Anyone else play it yet? Of course the story is as shameless and dumbed down as anyone could possibly make it, but that's Saint's Row for you. Love the new city too. Not a fan of the new controls

This game is so fun. The amount of customization and game modes is amazing. One minute you can be protecting your gang members with Snipers/RPGS and then the next you're driving with a pissed off tiger in your back seat.
