    I find it ironic that Fox News is accusing another organization of being biased...

    Why the war on Media Matters?

    I beieve Fox News' argument is they (Media Matters) are promoting/aiding the democratic party therefeore they should lose their 501(c)3 status...

    I don't see the correlation....

    Why is Fox Acting so butthurt now?

    Is pointing out their perceived bias of Fox News aide the democrats? If you buy that train of thought, what does that make Fox news? Anti- democratic party? or Pro-Republican?

    In my humble (non legal) opinon the case you mentions differs from this specific issue...

    According to Paul Caron it's the being biased that threatens the tax exempt status:
    MMA’s activities should disallow its tax-exempt status in two fundamental ways. First, IRS rulings make clear that attacks on individuals, statement of positions that are unsupported by facts and use of inflammatory language and other distortions will cost an organization its tax-free status. Second, in declaring “guerrilla warfare” on Fox as the “leader” and “mouthpiece” of the Republican Party and in developing a sophisticated Democratic-leaning media training boot camp, MMA has transformed itself into an aggressive advocate for Democratic and progressive causes and thus produced a second deviation from exempt educational activities.
