He had a better ERA and more innings pitched than Tim Lince and Matt Cain - the ERA difference being especially significant given that Kennedy's home park is a hitters' ballpark - and though Ryan Vogelsong's ERA is about a run better, Kennedy has nearly 30 more innings pitched.
All three Giants starters were the choice of NL manager Bruce Bochy.
