The sound coming from the Pistons afterward tells me that Detroit still doesn't understand what the Spurs are all about.
Richard Hamilton said he got whatever shots he wanted, but he simply missed. Excuse me, Rip, but that's not exactly how it went down. If those are the shots you want, then get used to shooting 7-21 from the field on a regular basis. Bruce Bowen forced Hamilton into taking tough, contested shots from the second quarter until the final horn.
Meanwhile, Rasheed Wallace talked about the Pistons having unforced errors. Wrong, 'Sheed. Those turnovers and missed shots were most definitely forced.
This is a team that needs to get rid of that at ude and start focusing on the task at hand because it seems like the bullies on the block aren't recognizing a little compe ion. They should have known better because, after all, these bullies roamed the neighborhood once before. They just moved away for a year.

I love the contrast of end results between 2 identical, underated teams:
SA - let their playing do the talking and are now on of the most respected teams among media and basketball officials.
DET - let their talking do the talking and are now completely annoying people who would usually respect them.

Tim legler, though still a wannabe benchwarmer hack, has become more Spurs friendly than he used to be.
Talking nothing but trash, whining and blaming the refs is nothing new to Piston or Pistonfan, then when he figures he is getting it handed to him he'll throw something.
The paralells here between Piston, Pistonfan and Mike Tyson are endless, after taking the beating of a lifetime, he'll discredit the compe ion after resorting to cheap tactics. No class, and eventually you enjoy watching him take the beating.
Here's to watching the Pistons getting their head stuck in between the ropes tonight!!

We in Detroit think Legler is a horrible analyst. He is consistant in one aspect tho'...he always talks trash about Detroit. They play good, he hugs their nuts and says they will win. They lose, he will say they do not have what it takes to beat a team. He is a rather horrible anaylst...never accomplished anything in the NBA other than winning a 3 point compe ion.
In other aspects of your opinions, I agree with what you say. But some times, not giving opponents respect can have an impact on your own teams psyche. How would your teammates feel if you are giving all the credit to the opponents. They would most likely be a little mad. Anyway, I think Detroit feels they let one get away. If the Spurs truly dominate the entire game, you would see a different team in the press.

It's the same thing with phoenix. What are they supposed to say,"Well, you know that spurs team was so good last night. There's no way we can win this series. Most of our shots were contested, that's why we were missing them. I don't think we'll win game 2."
They're not going to say that. I think they're the second easiest team we've faced in the playoffs this year. Anyone that thinks det is more physical then the spurs musta missed all of ben wallace's flops.
