Just read dana say on twitter if he beats rashad he will be the number one contender or at least top 3. amazing a guy who hasnt won a fight in FIVE years, gets the le shot after 2 wins...

He deserves a #1 contender fight if he beats Rashad, absolutely. He's fought nothing but former champions except for Hamill and Bader.
What's good about this story is that it's about an old dude (by MMA standards) having a chance to make one last run against the new breed. This is it for him, I think he knows it too.

Why not? If he wins its a pretty god damn impressive win. Machida had a chance but ed out. I'd rather see o get his ass kicked by Bones than watch Phil Davis get his ass kicked.
As much as I hate Dana White, he's always made it his MO to support people who step up to challenges and take the bull by the horns. He's not going to support assholes who walk away from a challenge because its hard.
