You're goddamn right this warranted its own thread

Basically they got him for a (promising) pitching prospect, and the Mets will pick up 4 of the 6 or so mil left on his deal

Only worry is he's injury prone.

Dude is gonna hit MAD EBH's in cavernous AT&T park. First legit middle of the lineup guy the Giants have had since Bonds. yeah

Nice pick-up, I can stand another Giants WS run if that means Philly, ATL, or the Mets don't win anything.

Mets aren't going anywhere, but the Braves and the Phils are the real deal.

Those two teams along with the Giants are outstanding pitching teams, scary for a prospective WS opponent

It's a nice 2 month rental. I just wish Posey wasn't injured. Posey, Beltran, and Sandoval is a nice 1-2-3 punch.

Wheeler wasn't a sure thing either, and he's at least a 2-3 year project at a minimum.

Giants are flush with cash. They can resign guys if they want to.

Cain is way too laid back for NY. Not saying he won't leave, just saying he won't end up in NY
