I've heard and seen that the pistons don't show up for games 2 or 3 times a 7 game series. Sometimes they come back and lose by 7 or 8 or they come back and make it close be it win or lose.
Playing this way against the spurs playing their best basketball of the season is a reason for the pistons losing by a large amount of points. Maybe agains an injured heat team they pull out a win or make the game close in game 1.
I still believe that det will take at least 1 game in det, no more then 2.
All you had to do is look at the Pistons faces during the last part of the game to know they were psychically owned.
And dribbling out the last 10 seconds, a total surrender, looked like a manuver to prevent us from getting another rebound or steal and scoring again.
Yep, I really don't think the Pistons will be able to get it up for 2 W's @DET.
Unfortunatley for the Spurs fans, I think the Spurs will close out @DET, not @SBC.
During the Heat series, the Pistons were a completely different animal at home...I think it comes back for 6.
The series can still shift the other way, but I have seen what I thought before the series started. Detroit does not match up well to us because we can play them straight man-to-man without having to use double teams...they have no BIG scorer like Barbie Doll Allen, Amare, or Nash. Sure, they have guys who can have a good game and drop a 30, but not every night. I'm positive that Detroit could not have beaten Phoenix in a 7-game series, in fact, I don't think they win the Miami series if Wade is not hurt. Also, they would not have any easy time with Seattle or Denver. I'm not saying Detroit is overrated, they are just facing a team capable of playing any style of ball...having the best defense in the NBA doesn't hurt either. If I'm Larry Brown, I tell my team to go out and play hard, have some fun since you have nothing to lose, and maybe some breaks will go their way and they get back in. Detroit's fate is in the Spurs' hands right now...we have to play bad for them to win...no brag, just fact. I originally thought Spurs in 6, now I'm thinking 5...4 if we win Tuesday night.

Thsi is not meant to disrespect the Pistons but I also think that Phoenix would have beat the Pistons in the Finals.
You mean Dallas. Denver has no perimeter game and it was exploited in the playoffs.
