I highly doubt they'll give up their network, but it would be hilarious if they did.
Edit: No way they can join with their network, btw. I think they're headed toward independence.
according to Kirk Bohls, he believes UT will join the PAC 12.
Now all the UT circle jerkers can't about A&M leaving the ty big 12.
UT would have to lose it's longhorn network and participate in equal revenue sharing.
don't know if they want that.

I think Bohls will eventually be proven right, but not in the short term. They'll wait and see if anyone else can punch their own ticket out of the conference and then choose between going independent or replacing the defectors with some C-USA teams.
They won't bolt for the Pac 10 until it looks like the superconferences era is about to begin.
Their network is a complication, but I'm sure Texas could buy their way in by agreeing to share some of lhn revenue with the rest of the conference.
Eh, they would just fold the network into the Pac12 and share it with Tech. This is Bohls though.
Hard time believing that UT would give back $300 million
Given how every team in their conference hates them for reasons unrelated to football, and given how much revenue the Pac-12 is producing by working together, I really don't like the idea of UT in the Pac12.
Oh, and UT in the Pac-12 means Arizona's chances at one day lucking into a Rose Bowl go from 0.1% to 0.0%
Have you seen Mike Stoops' record against Texas?
Has Arizona even played Texas at all with Stoops at coach (honest question)?
I'm talking about when he was in the process of laying ass-whoopings on Texas as OU's defensive coordinator.
You think that's relevant to how he'd do as Arizona's coach with the ty ass recruits he brings in every year![]()
i dont see how that's relevant unless Jason White is walking through the door too i saaaaiiiiiidddddd
UT and the Big12 need to find a suitable replacement who brings TVs and $$ to the depleted Bevo9 conference. U of H and SMU do nothing for that conference and if Notre Dame, Arkansas and BYU all say no, then I could see Texas moving in a different direction.
Arkansas and Notre Dame are a ing pipe dream. Each have the same % chance of happening. If BYU falls out, then Missouri is next and the exodus begins.
No. I was just trying to bring some levity. Prepare you anus.
Notre Dame is a pipe dream. I don't see how Arkansas would benefit from joining the b12 either. BYU might be interested in signing on with a conference that has an automatic BCS bid, but geography might be an issue for them.
TBH, I think the B12 expansion options are basically limited to C-USA teams.

Missouri holds all the cards.
Agreed. They go, the Big12 TV market basically becomes the southwest conference plus oklahoma.
There's even been some buzz about the SEC picking them up to come along with A&M.
yes they are. but nothing is more off, than tekk or t.u. fan thinking A&M leaving the conference does not matter... wow, uninformed and overconfident.
I don't think the LHN is necessarily that big of an issue for joining the Pac-12. We are already developing regional networks and it would just be another one of those.
tbqh i dont think its hard to lay defensive ass whoopings on an OC as incompetent as Greg Davis
It's also not hard when you have stacked teams loaded with talent like OU does every year. Stoops has gotten lazy at Arizona after his first few years as a recruiter and likes to recruit 2 star scrubs and JuCo players as key pieces. Once Foles and Criner are gone Arizona is gonna be a 2-3 win team completely barren of any talent.
Well, that and they had a power point of Greg Davis' offense. You guys could always rehire Mackovic.
