game 4 is a must win
not game 3
I know it's obvious, right? But really, game three is a must win for the Spurs! B/c a loss there would do wonders for the Pistons confidence. The Pistons would have the comfort of having 2 more games at home. Even though it would be difficult for the Spurs to lose 3 straight, especially like the way they're playing right now, but just the same, they have to win tommorrow. I'll feel better if the Spurs win game 3 and maybe lose game 4, they'll still have that 2 game lead.
game 4 is a must win
not game 3
This term "must win" is getting overused. "Must win" should mean a desperate game that has to be won or you most likely will lose the series.
game 3 is a must win for pistons
You might be right, but if Pistons win g3, then they might get on a roll. Pistons lose g3, especially if they come out strong? That would be a dagger!!
thanks, ducks, i'm glad someone has finally said that. every where i look since the start of this series, SA has been the only team that has been in a "must win" situation even though they nearly swept their last series, won the first game by 15 and then won game two by 21. i know the pistons have the spurs right where they want them, but geez ...
I really want to win the next two games.
How many times have the defending champs been swept?
Game three should be a very close game and the Spurs could very well lose it...I don't see it as a "must win" game for the Spurs at all...realistically I would be satisfied with one win in Detroit as long as we don't have any injuries...
It's all a matter of the spurs adjusting to the pistons. Does it take one quarter, one half, or one game? After the spurs adjust they should win after that. My feeling is the spurs will need about a half, so hopefully they can keep it within 6 points at halftime, if not have the lead. Then look for them to roll.
1988-1989. Detroit sweeps defending champion Los Angelos Lakers. They had injuries to key players tho'.
The spurs need to destoy all the pistons hopes and dreams of repeating as quickly as possible. They need to have the killer instinct.
I would want to take atleast one in detroit, which I don't doubt we will do..
Then finish over here...
I hate that term..."must win". Every time you set foot on a court, there should be the mindset to win.
[Herman Edwards] You play to win the game! [/Herman Edwards]
I hate the 2-3-2 format for a lotta reasons.
But right now, I hate it cuz we could win the championship in Detroit instead of San Antonio.
Exactly.
hey guys the way i see it it could easly happen like this...............pistons win game 3,spurs win game 4, pistons win game 5. s.a. goes back home and closes out the deal. what do u guys think?????
i think we'll finish it in 5. i think we'll win tomorrow, lose game 4, then take the championship in 5.
If I were the SPurs, I would bust ass in game 3, and bust ass in game 4.
Finish the goddamn series as FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!
Geez, the Spurs will win it in 5, and people will be posting here saying game 6 is a MUST. Lighten up.
Exactly what I'm talking about!! Win the thing as fast as you can and get the out there!!
To me, I think it some how gives the homecourt back to the other team. Playing three games at home? That's three fricking games to build momentum! That's why I say gm3 is a must win. Don't let the Pistons think for a second that they can win this thing!
I wouldn't mind the Spurs win Game 4 and lose Game's 2 and 3 so we could come back and win on our home floor, but that's just me.
Game 3 is must win for Detroit, not SA.
SA can slack off the next game, then come on in game 4, then win at home in game 6....that way I win my bet.
Game 3 against the knicks in 99 was a "must" win. Game 2 against the nets in 03 was a must win. Game 4 against the nets in 03 was a must win.
Must win is such an overused term.
O.K.! Game 3 is a _ _ _ _ win!![]()
