(leaving out shooting percentage because it's obviously unimportant)

    Michael Jordan: 31, 8, 5

    Larry Bird: 24.4, 9, 9

    Elgin Baylor: 28.5, 14, 4

    Jerry West: 23, 5, 9

    Alex English (at 34!) 24, 5.4, 4.4

    'Nique: 30, 5.3, 3

    Dirk Nowitzki (don't try to spin it, he's a perimeter player): 27.7, 8.1, 2.5

    Kobe Bryant: 22.8, 3.4, 3.3

    Discuss.

    27.7, 8.1, 2.5.

    I'll give you a C- for originality.

But I'll play along. Kobe did not even play very much in the playoffs his first couple of years. Even though we both know you know this you post this dumb ass thread. Props.

And are you in' re ed? What does him not playing in the playoffs his first couple of years have to do with the stats he puts up as a 32/33 year old?

Do you think these are career averages?

Lol. 32 and 9 months old. "B-B-But he was 32!"

Want me to compare him to these players when they were a year younger? It's even worse.

did those players come off of going to 3 straight finals?
or have knee, ankle, and finger injuries?
    or in their 15th season?

    thought so

Never mind him Deuce. His beloved Spurs are about to be irrelevant again and only thing he has left to hold on is hate for all things Lakers.

stats don't lie. Kobe is done. Hey, it was to be expected. For all the plusses there are to coming into the league right out of high school, the negative is that all the mileage catches up to you and the decline starts earlier than those who went to college.

And don't try to spin it and bring Duncan into the discussion. He's a post player in a league where the rules allow you get away with murder in the paint, but you can't touch a guy on the perimeter. This is strictly about perimeter players.
