I'd rank Tarnigvis Jackson as the lowest
How would you rank all 32 starting QBs?..
IMO,
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Tom Brady
3. Drew Brees
4. Phil Rivers
5. Ben Rapelisberger
6. Michael Vick
7. Jay Cutler
8. Matt Stafford
9. Matt Ryan
10. Tony Romo
11. Ryan Fitzpatrick
12. Joe Flacco
13. Matt Schaub
14. Eli Manning
15. Josh Freeman
16. Cam Newton
17. Mark Sanchez
18. Kevin Kolb
19. Matt Hasselbeck
20. Kyle Orton
21. Sam Bradford
22. Rex Grossman
23. Colt McCoy
24. Andy Dalton
25. Jason Campbell
26. Alex Smith
27. Donovan McNabb
28. Chad Henne
29. Matt Cassel
30. Blaine Gabbert(sp?)
31. Tavaris Jackson
32. Kerry Collins
Most overrated: Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco
Most underrated: Jay Cutler
I'd rank Tarnigvis Jackson as the lowest
As much as I don't like Flacco, he's been better than Ryan.
Ryan is indeed the most overrated QB in the league. I think he plateaued his rookie year and Falcon fans can look forward to a plethora of 7 yard passes.
Oh, and not winning and balls away from the Georgia Dome.
Eli Manning at 14???????? Dude! He is the 2nd best qb in the NFL for s sake! Schaub is a stat padding who is nothing but a loser. Flacco,Matt "no playoff win" Ryan? Fitzpatrick/Stafford? These guys haven't even made the playoffs! Cutler?????????Vick?
Big Ben??
Rivers,Brees, and Rodgers are all behind Eli. I will put Brady at #1 (Eli will be #1 if he keeps playing like he did Sunday @ Philly)
So far this year, Roethlisberger has no business being ahead of Vick, Schaub, Stafford, Fitzpatrick and Ryan on any list ... and I say this as a Steelers fan. He's racking up decent yardage, but turning it over too frequently.
Harlem...casting out the line...hooking the big one.
how can you say Ryan or Flacco is overrated? Matty Ice is unstoppable in the Georgia Dome and Flacco has led his team to the AFC Championship game twice in 3 seasons. Cutler is the grossly overrated one
Flacco has been to the AFCCG once, as has Cutler. Flacco was wildly overrated after his rookie year because people always assume good + young = great but Flacco was more or less exposed after last season.
Matt Ryan is still an overrated game manager. 0-2 in the playoffs and puts up pedestrian stats during the regular season on a run first team.
Brady
Rodgers
Brees
Roethlisberger
Rivers
Manning
Romo
Vick
Freeman
Cutler
Ryan
Flacco
Stafford (supreme talent, needs to prove himself more)
Fitzpatrick
Kolb
Cassell
Sanchez
Campbell
McNabb
Orton
McCoy
Henne
Dalton
Newton
Smith
Jackson
Gabbert
+1
Ryan has never been that impressive to me. He doesnt seem to do anything that a guy like Jason Cambell or Matt Hasselbeck can't do, he just has more talent around him.
Flacco is pretty much the same, just with a little less offensive talent help, but more defensive help than Ryan. Both are just above average QBs IMO.
my bad. i thought last year was the AFCCG but i was incorrect
Flacco is frustrating as to watch b/c he's got a cannon for an arm and he's tough in the pocket, but he still holds onto the ball way too long and makes questionable decisions. That team is nasty, and if he can just put together one mistake-free postseason like Eli did then there's no way the Ravens don't win a SB--that team is ing stacked.
Freeman and Fitzpatrick should be higher on the list.
Remember when Matt Cassel was boss and he was going to replace Brady.![]()
It's hard to put Fitz above any of those names ahead of him right now--just because of such a limited sample size of good games. He's also 28 already too, so he's got a lot of catching up to do. I got faith in the Fitz, though.
Freeman, OTOH, is definitely a star in the making...the guy takes care of the ball and has already proven to be a clutch performer in just over a season's worth of starts. He's also an articulate speaker, which separates him from other QB's like him.
- Your first 4 are flawless
- You got Jay Cutler way to high. I don't know why you think he is underrated.
- I'd take a healthy Romo over Stafford, but maybe not Ryan
- We need to see more of Ryan Fitzpatrick before putting him over the likes of Eli Manning and Matt Schaub
- Cam Newton is doing pretty good right now, but he not a better QB than Sam Bradford or Matt Hasselbeck. Not yet anyway, but he will be eventually.

So you think Stafford and Fitzpatrick are better than Romo? Just curious.
With the way they've been playing, yes. Romo is too Jekyll and Hide to be put that high. Just doesn't have it in the clutch. The jury is still out on Stafford and Fitz though, tbh.
Did anyone see Fitzgiggles' final response to Kornheiser on PTI a few days ago?
That makes him number one.
I guess you're leaving Peyton out because he's injured. If he's healthy he's #1. It's obvious just by watching the Colts this year.
If your team tailored the offense to your liking, of course they will stink when you sit.
But see this is where the without Peyton they suck argument is skewed. They played well enough to beat the Steelers without him. Replace Collins and Painter with a qb that actually should be in the NFL and they win easily last Sunday.
Ah... but they didn't.
You can "almost" beat a good team and still suck. Bad teams almost win all the time. The 4-12 Browns of 2004 took the Super Bowl Eagles to overtime.
Bad teams just find ways to lose one way or another.
