Duncan was the worst player on our team tonight. All of the players that have been carrying us are not showing up. Horry got scored on at will in the first half, Mohammed had stone hands all night, Ginobili never showed up and now may be at half speed and Duncan was nauseating the whole night. If we are going to get a game in Detroit we have to bring a lot more than this.

You must not have been watching the Spurs very long.

Whenever Duncan gets beat on by the opposing defense, he tucks his tail between his legs and hides.

It's over if Detroit keeps playing Tim physical.

Tim and physical defense go together like oil and water.

Duncan was soft today....but they never let him play today....

    Not counting fouls....and offensive fouls.

You can't do anything when this happens..

His ankles are still hurting him more than most people realize, I think. Pop mentioned just a couple days ago that both his ankles are painful, plus they tape the out of them for games (which answers someone else's question about his elevation). He didn't put up a typical Duncan performance, but it pisses me off that we take him for granted so much that people when he "only" scores 14 points.

The 14 points isn't what bothers me. It is his body language, and his defense that sucked. He didn't play like an MVP and a leader should. We all know the Spurs go as he goes and he went to in a handbasket tonight.

    "he "only" scores 14 points"

    ... on 15 shots. THAT's what sucks.

Malone played him tough in May04 and we lose 4 straight. Pistons front him and play him tough, he's totally neutralized.

When Detroit does play defense, they are a championship caliber team, when they don't, well game1 & 2 happen. With Ben and Dice overplaying Tim like tonight, there will be adjustments to how and where he'll get the ball in the post in game 4. Not to worry!!
    Spurs are

Wow. I can't believe so many "fans" are ready to get rid of Timmy.

A week ago he was everyone's top pick in an imaginary "draft" over Shaq!

Would you guys take Shaq over Tim now? Or Ben Wallace?

Look, one of the constants of Tim Duncan's career has been that if you rough him up with physical play, he defers to the jump shot and starts playing soft.

this is a fact. No one is bagging on the guy, he's an amazing player. But when someone brings the fight to him, all too often he backs off, like he did tonight.

That doesn't make anyone an ass. It doesn't mean people should eat and die about it. Some of you do, however, need to accept the fact that Duncan shies away from physical play.

    Bull .

Duncan didn't shy away from anything. He kept taking it strong...AND getting it blocked. But, he didn't, and doesn't shy away from the physical play.

No one is bagging on the guy
How do you go from critisizing the man to saying that nobody is bagging the guy. Wow thats an amazing talent. First of all everybody played ty except for Parker and he wasn't that great. But for people to come in here and call Duncan a pussy and all after they get outplayed is just plain wack. You don't win 2 championships, 2 finals mvp's and 2 league mvp's by being a pussy...just ask Ray Allen and Vince Carter. So to call the team out for their crappy play is one thing but to call Tim Duncan a pussy that runs and hides is falling off the deep end. Calm yourself and breathe easy boy boy!

Did you watch the ing game? Duncan's shot selection in quarters 2-4 was nothing but jump shots or weak one handed fadeaway runners. When Duncan is shooting a 22 foot jump shot he is not being aggressive.

, McDyess got physical with him and instead of treating Antonio like the punk ass role player he is, Duncan went to the fadeaway 18 ft. baseline jumper, and missed all three.

Portland (with Sheed) used to do the same thing to Tim. It's the same thing Karl Malone did to Tim last year in the LA series.

Watch some ing ball and get a clue. I love Duncan, but his one fault is when teams rough him up he generally pusses out and shoots jumpers.

Tim did not have a strong game tonight. Even as a Piston fan, I can concede that the Pistons got a favorable whistle tonight. And, Tim did have a couple tough calls on him. I'm sure it got him frustrated, as demonstrated by the technical foul.

Ben and McDyess were especially physical with Tim. And, he did allow that to make him a jumpshooter at stretches during the game. But, then again, he made a couple of them.

I think Timmy will be fine. He's such a great player. As a Detroiter, I'd love to see him struggle again, and hope the Piston forward keep bodying him up and bring the energy to block some of his shots. But, I don't see Tim playing that poorly again.

I'm sorry infinite. Duncan had the most beautiful 5 for 15 game I've ever seen. We should all be proud of the fact that offensive non-en y Ben ing Wallace outscored him.

    Damn that guy's good.

Look, Duncan is the best player in the game. But tonight he played like , and he played scared. I'm sorry you all are too busy kissing his ass 24-7 to realize it.
