My source, who wishes to remain anonymous cause he is welcher ( it, it's Kool), says the Lakers ownership, in the middle of the labor talks, are also planning a huge surprise on the league, by signing Dwight, CP3, and keeping Gasol!

Now, I know what you people thinking: How can the Lakers sign Dwight, sign CP3, keep Gasol, all this while paying Bryant 1/3rd of the team's payroll? Rumours speak that the Lakers actually found a way, by rewritting the laws of maths completely, and actually squeeze all those contract in, while staying under the cap.

Lakers always figure out someway to get it their way. It's a reason for the re ed fans and hatred from team fans.

I highly doubt we would get CP3 and D12 though, but one of them sure.

Well, let's see.

Kobe and Gasol are in the books till end of 2013/2014... that is 50M in their last year.
Now Artest and Bllake are still in the books by then too, but I'm sure they Lakers will get rid of them (though they would need to get something back too, but let's not go into details).

Now, there has been talks of a hard cap of 45M, but I'm sure it won't come up to that.
Last year's was 58M, I assume after all is said and done, there will be a compromise, and it get at least 52M.

So, in order to get Howard or CP3, the Lakers not only need to get rid of some serious assets (as in nearly deplete their team, and, oh, btw, after next season, they only have 4 players in the book), but they'd have to take some a serious cut (even then I think they could yet sign Howard, but who fears a Lakers team so depleted?)
