    even though it was hard...young blacks had a hard time with the idea of Kobe not being from the hood and still being so good. I tell them today....if you want to be as good as Iverson you'll have to work as hard as Kobe...

    I got love for Dirk, Mullin, Rambis, Bird (now not in the 80's) Price, etc.

    However, You noticed race I did not. I dont care about color you ask me that question in NFL I would say Rodgers, Brady, Ray Lewis, Peyton Urhlacher only ray is a "brother".
    Truth is my FAVORITE NBA players are black in a sport dominated by african americans.

    Besides Tim is an Oreo and as many have pointed out Griffin is half-white ...
