    The first-ever UFC fight card to be televised live on FX is taking shape with two bouts featuring fan favorites known for their fast-paced fights.

    A welterweight bout with fight of the year potential will unfold as Josh ‘The Dentist’ Neer and Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig have verbally agreed to meet in the new year.

    In addition, a heavyweight showdown has been verbally agreed to for with Christian Morecraft taking on Pat ‘HD’ Barry.”

    This is how UFC 140 started off:
    “Two of the welterweight division’s most promising contenders have verbally agreed to fight as Brian ‘Bad Boy’ Ebersole takes on Rory ‘Ares’ MacDonald December 10 in Toronto," said UFC president Dana White.

    Also on tap for Toronto, "Raging Bull" Rich Attonito and Claude "The Prince" Patrick have accepted a welterweight matchup.

    Two strong lightweight prospects have verbally agreed to make their UFC debuts that night as 7-1 John Cholish will face 9-0 Canadian Mitch Clarke.
    Essentially, the UFC doesn't always announced the main event/main card first.

    I'm positive for their first card on FX, the UFC will either put a le fight or top contender type fight as main event.

    I really enjoyed this card, despite feeling cheap compared to the e/Versus format. I have no idea why the production seems so flawed or just plain off, it's kind of wierd and I hope it doesn't affect how fights on Fox will look next week. I wish they'd stop using that football theme song, it is awkward. As for the fights...

    Barry's new hairdo is awful, but he's an exciting guy to watch kick people or get beat up himself. Bye bye Morecraft, he needs work but he can come back at some point.

    Good show by the 135ers.

    Neer looked like one of the Diaz brothers, Ludwig looked scared.

    Miller needs to fight Nate Diaz, make it happen! Also, Melvin looked sharp as , but the new training partners don't look like they worked on his grappling too much.
