one game playoff between the two wild card teams. I don't like it but it doesn't make much of a difference.

I think it has the possibility of making a big difference. The wildcards over the years have actually had some pretty good success in the playoffs. Just look at this past season. Cardinals won it all as the NL wildcard.

With a one game play-in, both wildcards will likely use one of their top 2 pitchers and burn him for at least the beginning of the "first round" and probably limiting him to only one start in that LDS. It will make it a lot tougher for wildcards to go deep in the playoffs unless they have a stacked rotation.

I do think it makes a difference, but I'm cool with that. It puts more emphasis on teams winning their division. And if your team has the best record in the league, I don't mind that team getting that advantage for the LDS.

I didn't like it at first but I hadn't considered this factor. That makes it a little more palatable for me. Only problem I'll have is if a legit WC team with the second or third best overall record in the league loses the one game playoff to a barely-over-.500 second WC team. But hopefully the division winner would make quick work of them in the next round.

Why not do what they're going to eventually: three wildcards and the worst divisional winner play 2 out of 3 in the wildcard round to advance and play the best two divisional winners.

I hate one game playoffs for anything but a tie breaker. That means that one of BOS or NY is automatically screwed by having to burn their best pitcher.

    Agree.
Rewarding the regular season should be more of a priority. Even if your Cardinal type team wins the Series, and props to them, the reg season should be given more weight.

This was if Division Winner wins 102 games and 2nd place 100 wins is relegated to one game Wildcard matchup vs 83 win team....

83 win team ousts 100 win team due to 1 game.
    That's bogus.

I don't care about the wildcard thing.

I care that this new CBA levels the playing field in draft and international spending, slotting and penalizing if gone over what teams can spend in the draft and capping what teams can spend in the international market. Not every team can afford to overpay for proven talent. Most teams have to overpay while they are cheap. This is going to destroy teams at the top of the draft.

Clubs that build through superior scouting/drafts/international signings/farm systems are now handcuffed. in' Selig.

I hate the one and done in the wildcard
I think it should be atleast 3 games
I can not believe 8 small team market owners voted for this new cba
the days that the small market teams actually could get to the big dance are over
big payroll teams will be in the playoffs deep now every year
but selig loves that because that is the big market teams
    retire already
wish their was a lockout this deal is worse then if their was a lockout
