I hate to be cynical, but i'm sure this isn't breaking news to the Paterno family. It smacks of a desperate "Dad is a sick asshole that everybody hates, how do we get sympathy back on his side? How bout we tell everyone about his cancer?"
Days after losing the job he held for nearly a half century, former Penn State coach Joe Paterno was diagnosed with a treatable form of lung cancer.
Scott Paterno, the Hall of Fame coach's son, said in a statement provided Friday to The Associated Press that his father's doctors are optimistic the 84-year-old Paterno will make a full recovery.

I agree mono especially on the heels of the news that he's bbeen transferring ownership of his estate to his wife so no one can get anything if they Sue him.
^Your book brooks a rapist. You've no room.
I know. After almost 15 years when Media says "it's time"...By God, it's time.
The media says "It's time to get lung cancer!"
The Skunker!!!
This is the part where everybody gets to act high & mighty and take a piece of everyone's ass at PSU. The ones who remain will be sent to re-education camps to get their minds right. Afterward they'll say something to the effect that "I'm a better person because of this scandal. Penn State University is a better place. It's almost a good thing that it happened, I just feel sorry for the children."
Then minorities will come in low out of the rising sun, play the race card and be grandfathered in on a decent % of the jobs formerly held by the whites.
& Media will be watching the henhouse the entire time to make damn sure nobody tries to sneak off scot-free.
