The Lakers will attempt to acquire both Dwight Howard and Chris Paul, according to sources.
In attempting to acquire those two players, the Lakers will make everyone on their roster available with the exception of Kobe Bryant.
The Lakers would almost certainly build one package around Pau Gasol and the other around Andrew Bynum.
If they land both of them I will forever be done with the NBA's bull (and I bet owners like Holt will be too).

I doubt that they can land both of those players but I immediately thought of the Spurs and how ticked off Holt & Pop would be if this happened…That one year when the Spurs had bags of money & no free agent signings…
It is hard to compete with the Pacific Ocean & TV appearances on CSI…

Though yes the lakers are a legit contender for a le as currently built, but they are no longer favorites. A team with Kobe, Dwight and Paul would not be favorites either but what do they lose? They would be contenders as well.
Stern runs the Hornets and Otis Smith is still the GM of the magic. So there's no shortage of idiots when it comes to making the deal happen.
It would definitely be a flashy deal but not so sure its a huge improvement over the current laker squad. It doesnt really solve the problems they currently have (perimeter D, athleticism out on the wings). They'd lose Odom who is just as valuable as Pau/Bynum and D12 is nowhere near the versatile post scorer as Gasol is...
i think it'd be a lateral move as far as this season goes but a great move when it comes to the future and attracting other FA pieces to build around CP3 and D12.
Killa, are you serious? How would a team of Kobe Dwight CP3 not be the favorites. It's like Laker fan is scared Kobe can't cut it so they put in these ludicrous buffers.
