Seriously, you wonder if he just didn't start the process when he should, or if he's run into some bizarre snag in the system. I've got a friend who is a well-known artist who is having a of a time getting a visa, and he's done everything by the book. Sometimes it makes no sense.

I'm only half kidding about just flying him to Matamoros and letting him walk across. It's not like he'll be seen on national television or anything.
