IMO, this whole thing is an incredibly savvy business move by Buss.
He's facing paying $90m for a tired old bag, including $30 million on the first season where the lux tax actually bites.
The best thing that can happen to him is that Kobe demands a trade. That way he would be waiving his no-trade clause and he can dump that stupid contract.
