The format in the finals is 2-3-2 meaning; 2 home games, 3 away games and 2 home games. This format is fairly new.

So the media doesn't have to spend a lot of money and time moving .
Or, so that there is as little of homecourt advantage as possible (the next best thing to a neutral site).
Or, because that's just the way it is.
What's the history as far as the team with the three middle home games winning all three?
