    Dear Tim,

Please no more jump shots or fadaways. You're 7ft tall, please attack the rim.

    Sincerely,

    Tim of Old.

Kinda hard when no one is hitting an outside shot, and they got guys coming at Tim from all diffrent directions.

Addendum to memo: We need some outside shooters as well!

Duncan needs to stop looking for the refs to win the game for them (looking for calls) and ing show them who the Champ is out there.

Last time I checked, Bruce, Barry, Horry, and Manu have been hitting 3's all series long.

Spurs cannot depend on hitting 3s
Duncan needs to show up and dominate otherwise soft label is appropriate

All the more reason this needs to become Manu's team. Duncan doesn't have the balls or leadership skills to do it.

In case no one has noticed--there is no more Tim of old. He used to play facing the basket and was deadly on those bank shots. When is the last time you saw him do that with any consistency?

Now he plays like an old time center with his back to the hoop and often gets stripped when he tries to dribble because they double team him. If he does get close to the basket, that little soft shot that used to go in all the time is too short because he can't get off the ground.

Watch him lumber down the court. His ankles must have 10 lbs. of tape on them. No way he can transition on B. Wallace who beats him down the court every time by 10 yds.

There is no 'Tim of old' in this series.

Against Phx he was definitely Tim of Old. Explosive, deadly, accurate. I'd give more credit to Detroit's defense.
But the main problem I saw last night was lots of pick-n-stand-around bball. Tim would set a screen for Tony or Manu and then... float around the top of the key. WTF?? Tim, it's called pick-and-ROLL, not pick-and-stand-with-your-thumb-up-your-butt. Every time they did it, Big Ben would switch off onto the guard and stifle him, so Tim should have gone to the hoop, but didn't. Have to execute, boys.

"hold onto the damn ball when you do drive"

The defense's objective is to keep Tim out of the low block by fronting/siding him.

So Tim fights his way around his defender and out further (close to the perimeter defenders),
    finally gets the ball,
Tim is now a jump shooter or
he puts the ball on the floor and gets stripped.

This is Deja Vu of the Lakers 04 tactic on Tim, and it's working equally well.

actually tim was getting his position early in the shot clock but they preassure the passer and slow the entry pass, tim gets knocked off his spot, and he is now 18 feet from the whole and shooting a jump shot

Very true. But if this is the ing antidote to the Spurs, why do we only see it three games into a series? Did DET just find the tape from the Lakers series last year?

Manu ain't leading nothing. The Pistons play INCREDIBLE D. Does anybody know who the Pistons have for they're frontcourt? Rasheed ing Wallace and Ben ing Wallace! NOW if we hit outside shots and would have been more agressive to the basket then chances are the score wouldn't be like that and Duncan would have a much better game because of the other defenders having to worry about the perimeter shooters. No one in the league can score when there is not 2 but, 3 defenders on one man. And as far as I see it, Manu and Tony's slashing in the basket was invisible they only had layups on fastbreaks other than that they were completely shut off from inside the paint and unless Tony and Manu are on fire they're gonna have to create an inside game before they can create a outside game.

Because it's not how they normally play D, but after the beatings in games 1 and 2 it was time to make some changes.

Yeah, we definitely don't need 7 foot tall jump shooters, so tell Robert Horry to stop shooting so many ing threes and get his ass under the rim to grab a rebound! If you brick your damn shot, you're leaving Tim to have to outrebound Rasheed and Ben Wallace. That doesn't have a high probability of happening and it's been proven in the past two games. If Duncan can't hit the jumper, we're really ed because he isn't in position to grab the rebound and you know Horry's ass isn't going to get it. , put in more Mohammed and LET HIM PLAY. We need to get more rebounds. The Pistons have a billion opportunities at second chance points and we only have one. No way in we can win that way.
