SAN ANTONIO — Anyone seeking the negative effects of the NBA's compressed season should look no further than Dirk Nowitzki's performance against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

Found it interesting that one of the posters there acknowledged the youth movement of the Spurs and how crappy the Mavs bench is beyond Odom and Terry ...

    You mean the Mavs' bench.

Well, I couldn't really take much joy out of this win because the Mavs were downright terrible and played as if they had been listening to Slowcore music for days before the game.
But that's the problem with this lockout-shortened season: Although one single game means more than usual because there are only 66 of them instead of 82, there probably won't be a lot of games where you have the feeling that both teams are reasonably well-rested and more or less in top shape.

True...if anything, we were the more tired ones, coming off a game the night before.
