boy i needed that
Pistons lead the Finals 3-2 going into LA for games 6 and 7, if nec.
Pistons blow out the Lakers in Game 4: L.A. Lakers 86 at Detroit 111
Pistons need one win to win the le.
Lakers win both home games to win the le in 7.
Just thought I would remind folks that even if we lose game 5, we still get to come home and the series isnt over.
boy i needed that
That was the last NBA Finals to go seven games, I believe.
*edit* whoops, wrong it was 1994 Knicks-Rockets.

We remember. 14 seconds. Laimbeer. Kareem. Hugh Hollins. The phantom foul...
you forgot to also mention detroit lost those two games because Isiah Thomas badly sprained his ankle, he set a final record for points in a quarter 25 points on a bum ankle,
They fell just short in game 6 had the lead at halftime in game 7 only to lose.
Had Isiah been healthy we all know who would have won that series.
Sorry i didn't mean to burst your bubble. If the Pistons win game 5 you better hope Chauncy sprains his ankle, do not think that Detroit can't or won't win 1 of 2 going back into San Antonio.

comparing billups to isiah thomas
No Chauncy is not Isiah but as far as clutch, crunch time shot making he is our current version of Isiah. He's our goto guy as Isiah was in clutch situations. He has hit perhaps more game winning shots in the last two years than any other player in the league.
perhaps you have some proof of this?
Well ive seen most of the Pistons games over the past two years, and i've heard it mentioned before on more than one occasion by Tnt and Espn sportscasters.
One of your players could get injured still. I'm calling my Haitian friend. There's still time for a little black magic....![]()
This happened in 1994 too. Rockets were down to the Knicks 3-2 going home for games 6 and 7. They pulled them out and took the le. Detroit hasn't proven anything until they can win on the Spurs court.
San Antonio hasn't proven anything either becaus they haven't won on the Pistons home court![]()
Fortunatly we dont have to win on the Pistons court to win the le.
Detroit does have to win on ours though.
You got me there, however i am very confident that they can win once at the SBC
And, believe it or not, Im still confident the Spurs can win one at the palace.
Me too.
Spurs in 6.
