1000 plays...I say they run play number 492.
that they should try something different.According to Horry, the Spurs have about 1000 plays in their playbook. If that's the case, then they should try something new to throw off the Pistons. But, ultimately, it all comes down to execution and taking care of the ball.
1000 plays...I say they run play number 492.
How about the play that involves taking care of the ball.
I'm always partial to the play that scores points.
how about the play that takes care of the ball and scores points
How about a play that doesn't make them look like a bunch of pussies...
I love the Spurs but they can be some big ass pussies at times....
good point. One thing at a time.
the 1000 plays. Just proove that you want this. Snatch the ing trophy from these belt wearing, afro styling, mask hiding fools!!!!
Screw 1000 plays, prove you can run the 1-2 plays you have run all season without turning it over first. The LAST thing this offense needs is to get more sophisticated. we cant even complete entry passes right now.
Anyone ever wonder why we never see Ginobili post up or come off base line screen for alley oops and such? With his athleticism he could kill from the baseline!
I have it from a reliable source
Pop will run 4 DOWN
thats where the ball is passed in to TD and we get to see whatever happens after that![]()
Yeah, because running the same two plays over and over again doesn't make it really easy for the defense or anything. The LAST thing this offense needs is to get more sophisticated.
It's part of our problem. Our offense consists right now of three plays:
1. Pick and roll
2. Four down
3. Iso for a guard
I am very skeptical about the playbook thing, considering we see the same every year in the playoffs. Pop's entire playoff playbook fits on one postage stamp.
AHF, how often have you played basketball and have you ever played organized ball?
Didn't you get the memo? All 1000 plays are variations of 4 DOWN.
.......
Hmm.....
I think we should be doing the same ... just give it to Tim and Manu..
The difference this time has to be penetration... Tony and Manu...
They just have to be aggressive and they can win.
Execustion is the only thing the Spurs need to work on from a technical stand point. The biggest area of concern however isnt from a technical stand point IMO. it is what is in the Spurs heart, not whats in their heads. If they dont want this deep down in the depths of their hearts then they will never be able to summon what the Pistons have. It is clear to everyone, even when losing games one and two, the Pistons have been hungry all along.
What's the point of learning 1,000 plays when they're only using about 5?¿?¿
We can NOT keep doing the same stuff and hope it works. That is why we lost last year because stubborn Pop failed to make adjustments. We need to find something new since we have been blown out in TWO consecutive games in the NBA Finals. Doing the same thing isn't going to cut it.
"With his athleticism he could kill from the baseline!"
I've seen Manu, hanivg hustled his butt in transition to be all alone in a corner, be ignored by Tony who takes the ball elswhere. Rather than something more sinister, I've just a figured Tony was told to run a play, and hitting an open Manu in the corner wasn't it.
I still don't see how the plays are the problem. The energy and intensity on both ends decreased a bunch. The ability/willingness of Manu or Tim to take control and carry the team went down the crapper.
I just don't see how new plays are going to make the Spurs have better hands. It's not going to help them play with more intensity on the defensive end. It's not going to stop them from being pussies on offense. Robert Horry was a pussy for passing up open shots. Duncan was a pussy for playing like he didn't care. Manu was hurt, so he could have an excuse. That's only a partial list.
That's why Bruce is so important to the team. He plays with a tremendous amount of intensity and energy every night. The Spurs will miss him when he's gone. But for now, they need to play up to his level of intensity. He's the only one who has brought it every game in this series.
wow AHF you certianly shied away from that Question...
Execute order 66.
I would rather go with 69
But it's just me
